The historicisation of Astronism is the process by which Astronism became connected to pre-Astronist historical roots which served to further legitimise Astronism and to provide its followers with a distinct identity. This was started by which its founder, Cometan, when he articulated the history of the Astronic tradition and how this then related to his works on Astronism itself.

The historicisation of Astronism commenced a few years after its initial founding, particularly in 2019 as part of Cometan's study of ancient astronomical religions and his realisation for the emergence of the Astronic tradition of religion and philosophy. Such historicisation serves purposes of legitimisation, boundary drawing and formulation of the Astronist identity. This process of the historicisation of Astronism is integral to the study and conduct of the historiography of both Astronism and the Astronic tradition.
